The Banshees of Inisherin 2022
This remains my favorite Martin McDonagh movie, I think the dark comedy does a lot more for the themes than his other movies.
It’s also just a really sad and pretty real look at loneliness and how shitty it is to live in a rural place where no one minds their fucking business.

Karl Urban can really frown like nobody's business.
I also really appreciate that he just commits war crimes constantly. I also forgot about how pleasant the dynamic is between Dredd and the psychic rookie.
This is also now the definitive Lena Heady villain role after they fucked up Cersei's arc.

I kinda hate all of the children but the vampire villain and the elvira/vampire hunter dude are both fabulous.
The extremely elaborate death scenes are the best part of the movie, I kept thinking "wow I didn't know a vampire could die like that".
