Starts strong but runs out of gas fast. Wright's camera whips and pans around, creating an illusory sense of momentum. Some of the sequences are masterful to be sure, but there isn't enough here to sustain a feature.

Spider-Man: Homecoming 2017
Homecoming is the best Spider-Man movie yet. Holland is perfectly cast and the tone is just right. Some of the action only gets halfway to being interesting but that's easy to overlook when the rest has so much going for it. Also worth noting that this is probably the most accessible Marvel film since the first Iron-Man - very little hinges on prior knowledge of the MCU. That said, there are plenty references and easer eggs for fans. All in all, a major success.
