Felt like competent indie fare. Nothing surprising, had its moments of charm but never found myself laughing as much as the filmmakers possibly intended. Some good pacing for a film that I’ll likely forget but passed the time in a strange way.

The French Connection 1971
I guess I’m in the minority but this offered very little. Lots of following, albeit through some great NYC street shots full of nostalgia, but not amounting to much. Just following. The famous chase scene was certainly phenomenal and helped up very well. Can’t say much about the rest of the film. Characters were completely one dimensional. Hackman brought more than what was on the page. The fact that this won so many academy awards is shocking, even for the academy.
