Carry-On 2024
When you hear about Netflix telling their creatives to dumb things down, you might think, “well, that’s gotta be hyperbole, right?”
No.

Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
This is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Literally. Laughed, cried, clapped, shouted. And I hate audience participation. It’s just that good. It draws emotions from the audience with expertise. At more than one point I thought I knew what the movie was about, and I was continuously proven wrong over and over again. I haven’t seen a movie this evocative in years.
I’m not kidding. One of the best movies ever made.

History of the World: Part II 2023
People keep talking about how problematic the original movie is, yet fail to see how problematic Nick Kroll’s Jew characters are. I get it, he’s Jewish and he’s allowed to poke fun, but he continues to paint Jews as dirty little troll creatures with awful midwestern jew accents.
Anyway this isn’t a Mel Brooks show. It’s a show made by Nick Kroll and co, with Mel’s approval slapped on it. It has maybe half a good joke per sketch on average and the rest is previously tread storylines with subpar humor. Don’t bother with this.
