That’s me watching this one, maybe a snicker or two throughout but just another cheap horror throwaway.
Unfortunately didn’t meet the hype for me. Not bad, but just felt like every other nun-adjacent horror flick for me. Nothing new to hit for me.

Mustang is another example of a raw and powerful portrayal of the way in which many young women are unfairly stripped of their rights to personal freedom even in today’s times, while simultaneously reminding you of how equally powerful and beautiful young womanhood and unity among young women can be in the face of this oppression.

For every dozen movies we get these days about young adults that navigate romance and social pressure and mental health in the most surface level, cheesy, basic, uncurious ways, you get one that has a definitive soul and genuine love to share for its characters, and I place Parachute in the latter category 100% of the time.
