better than i thought it would be but absolutely forgettable once its over. pacing and flow seemed lacking. felt like it was raising a lot of points but it never really delved too deep into any of them. i suppose the most cogent one is that war journalism tends to be dehumanising to the point where your own friends dying is nothing but a photo op to you. still not really that fleshed out

i know its very trite to say “yooo this movie is a documentary 🤯🤯🤯” in response to a movie about issues contemporary to its making but holy shit dude. genuinely unnerving just how prescient this movie is. dehumanisation of minorities to justify locking them up in concentration camps and every onlooker just shrugs their shoulders and gets on with their day. it doesn’t matter anymore we’re probably all going to die soon
