Sound of Metal 2019
Great film. Really shows the struggle Ruben goes through in dealing with his condition. The sound is incredible and you get an insight into his soundscape. I didn’t understand at first why they were saying they were addicts in the first session at the church but when he leaves, he does come across as an addict, totally dependent on Lou. The ending is perfect.

Criterion challenge #9 1990s
Been wanting to see this for a while and I wasn’t disappointed. Incredibly powerful movie with amazing visuals. It’s a simple story of a day in the life of the 3 main characters following riots in Paris. Like most good movies there’s not really good or bad in this although the police really aren’t portrayed in a great light which is fairly accurate.
