Wow, I didn’t expect to get as into this as I did. This show is deeply upsetting, dark, and intense. The acting, casting, and filming are seriously brilliant. I’m still shocked that each episode is filmed in one take. As difficult as it is to watch, I would still highly recommend it. It’s incredibly compelling and nearly impossible to look away, a true sign of a job well done.

A moving reminder that the grass is always greener on the other side. The casting is great, and it’s clear that the use of props and lighting between the two houses was intentional: the family’s home feels dull, messy, and ordinary, while the neighbor’s is dimly lit and mysterious. I really liked the contrast between them, and overall, it’s a nice concept for a short film.

The ending, while emotional, felt unreasonably dark and left me with a strange feeling. I enjoyed it, but I was surprised it won an Oscar.

Caesar Flickerman plays a cracked out Elon Musk.

I don’t really get the negativity around this film. It’s entertaining and unique albeit a little cheesy but surprisingly not as predictable as I initially thought. If you were expecting some grand commentary on rights or a technological takeover, you might be taking things a little too seriously.

Not mad that I watched it, but I wouldn’t watch it again.

A visually stunning film with a cool concept. I just wish someone other than Olivia Wilde had directed it.

The constant symbolism of opening eyes to represent the protagonist awakening to her reality was painfully on the nose, making the film feel heavy-handed. It completely ruined its credibility for me. It was like, Yeah, babe, I get it you’re trying to make this deep and symbolic, but the lack of strong direction, creative vision, and solid storytelling made it fall…
