Blade Runner 1982
Great set pieces, the atmosphere is on point, but the performances and the lessons of the book don’t really land where I was hoping. It’s good in its own right, artistically, but at a movie, narratively, it’s not really my jam. It reminds me of Clockwork Orange, where the idea of what’s trying to be conveyed is strong, but the strangeness of the performances detract from what the movie is trying to say.
