  “Look under the bed” 

  This movie is the personification of the nightmarish fears we had as children, the claustrophobic feeling of entrapment, no way out. Like those dreams when you cannot wake up from, and you are just stuck in a nightmarish reality just praying for the relief of being awake again. Skinamarink was the most uncomfortable thing I have sat through. The absence of narrative creates the sense of well and truly being alone. The fear from being alone is a baneful existence and this is that on film. 

  When we look into the dark, do we truly know what is looking back at us?

  I thought the half an hour of blackness was apart of the movie, turns out the screening in the cinema was broken. But LongLegs was absolutely fucking amazing.
