This movie could have easily addressed the systemic issues that pushed these kids to do what they did. Dig a bit into how a society in which families suffer poverty to the point where children feel the need to take care of their parents is living in a broken system, or how success expectations breeds the need to lie in order not to disappoint. But instead the message is "cheating = bad", which I guess is just as good.
