Felt like watching fake Young Sheldon with a tragic twist, but somehow it worked. The emotions hit exactly where they needed to, and despite the overly quirky vibe, you could genuinely feel the weight of the story. Surprisingly moving for something that could’ve easily been too pretentious.

Kind of dissatisfied by the lack of gore and horror—it’s PG-13, so I get it, but it felt like a missed opportunity for longtime fans who expected more intensity. The plot diverged quite a bit from the games, which was initially confusing, but piecing it together afterward made it click a bit better.
That being said, the casting was spot on, and the INTRO? IT WAS SO NICELY DONE IT HIT ALL THE NOSTALGIC NOTES.
