i think you can argue this film is somehow a commentary on class, consumption, and the top 1% beneath the facade of a western and the cutest ugly animals you’ve ever seen (i’m lookin at you priscilla)
pirated this movie on youtube via playlist with cat videos sandwiched in between scenes which really completed the vibe for me

people who disliked this movie are allergic to joy and whimsy—like yeah it’s a little corny woke at times but it’s not that deep
really captures that feeling at the end of senior year where you realize all of the people you’ve gone to school with the past four years are genuinely just people and don’t actually hate you as much as you thought they did
    Lyft scene actually killed me

“look at all those bottoms of those trees. Look at how gnarled they are, and yet they live.”
aw man this made me laugh and bawl. we can learn so much from our grandparents and we take them for granted a lot; this film reminded me that aging is a privilege and a burden, but life doesn’t end when you get older.
june squibb is an absolute badass
watched this with my mom and immediately texted my grandparents and told them i loved them afterwards
