Pretty solid overall, tho ironically think it’s missing a little “extra sauce”. Also makes the cardinal sin of narrating half the movie, personally one of my least favorite things a movie can do. Most probably don’t mind it but shit grinds my gears.
Also Pattinson is probably in my Top 10 fav actors currently working, man is so versatile.

For a “silent film” this movies opening credits almost rendered me completely deaf
All seriousness tho I was really impressed by this. My first Chaplin film and def won’t be my last. Truly stands the test of time nearly 90 years later. I also had no idea Chaplin wrote, produced, directed, acted in, and COMPOSED for most of his films?!?!?! Has there been anyone else like that in the industry since??? Truly a goat of cinema.
