  Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989

  This has always been my least favorite of the Good Three, but it's still a huge hoot. The buddy comedy vibes with Connery could have easily been a disaster, but Connery is putting in one of his most terrific performances of all time here. It's got great set pieces, there's just something that has always kept me form loving it like the other two, but it's still undeniable.

  A damn fine film. Beautifully crafted on every level. It's a movie that gets at the core of not just the human spirit, but the sentient spirit, while examining the devastation that loss can bring. This series got better with each film, and it's been capped off with this terrific final statement.

  After Hours 1985

  Surreal and Fun. A madcap ride through the weird streets of New York after the sun goes down. I really like Scorsese doing comedy, and this one felt a little like him trying to do David Lynch, even though it came out before Blue Velvet, so who knows, maybe Lynch was doing Scorsese.
