Visually fun and creative. Lots of Nintendo references.
Writing and/or directing subpar and uninteresting. Score seemed lazy. Nods to themes from the games seemed unnecessarily forced. Not organic.
The only way to let you know that an impact was severe is to show it in slow-mo. A big punch? A big kick? A big fireball or explosion? Better make it slow-mo.
This is a "Wait until it's free" type of movie.
I try not to watch these. I have poor taste in friends who have poor taste in entertainment.
I pray one/some/all of these jackasses find themselves behind a log truck, à la Final Destination. The only way this shit will stop is if they stop.
Some clever jokes. Some cheesy jokes. A LOT of intentionally bad cinematography. Perhaps making fun of bad movie-making while at the same time leaving room for their own mistakes.
Funny enough to get by. And weird.
