howard hawks is so good I need to watch all his films. Really more localised than De Palma's. Though you're more sympathetic towards this Tony than De Palma's.

Could be interesting to analyze this through fredric jameson's view on postmodernism and its link to the 50s.
For now I'd just say: greatest thing ever put on tv. Like OG twin peaks is great but the return is far beyond that. Transcendantal work of art. Every episode is great, the rythm flows so well. There's nine inch nails. There's hudson mohawke. James Hurley is a great character, but Bobby is damn amazing too. Dale Cooper is no hero, he is deeply flawed and we need to recognize that.
