  “That was the rock, now I watch the ripple.”

  What a sick movie, so much detail packed into 90 mins. Everything gets thrown at the audience quickly and unapologetically, but lets you figure it out yourself as the plot unravels instead of holding your hand along the ride. 

  The score was so cool, but the use of silence was equally if not more important. The dinner scenes bookending it was great. The whole thing just oozes with charisma.

  “Everybody Hurts” was a perfect song choice for the opening credits.

  Pretty stupid but funny enough to keep me along for the ride.

  WTF was the gore budget for this?

  Pattinson showed some very impressive range and the aliens were cool, but that’s pretty much it for me. 

  I went in hoping for a unique and fun sci-fi adventure and while there was potential for that, it was mostly anti-capitalist soapboxing slapping you in the face over and over and over. Ruffalo’s trump/elon hybrid impression was very thin and surface-level “satire”. The final act felt like a bad SNL skit that wouldn’t end. The pacing was awful!
