When a relationship between a human and an animal is more real than any other relationships.

I gave 2 and half star just because I found it extremely slow and didn't give me any particular moving emotion. But I appreciated very much the photography.

Why Letterboxd let us give a maximum of 5 stars? I'd give 10 stars plus.

I think I've never cried sooo much for a movie before. By watching it, I felt so much angel, sadness... and thanks God I didn't watch this while one of my mental breakdowns.
Really if you're in a sad period please don't watch it. But you also have to watch when you'll feel better because this is masterpiece. Björk's character (Selma) is so Björk, but she's so talented with acting and her original songs were getting you into her imagination.

    This is fantasy gore animation

although I couldn't understand the intent, until I read the plot description, it is definitely an interesting animation, almost dreamlike but traumatizing at the same time. In other words, a nice lullaby before going to sleep.

I loved the aesthetics of this movie, the colors, the lights. It's definitely not easy to understand it: I'm honest that after watching it I had to look for the explanation, and I discovered that it is a sort of an allegory on the experience of transsexual identity.
But one thing that I understood clearly about this movie, and for which I felt close to it in someway ...
... when life sucks, we can survive through fantasy. We need…
