I realllllly wanted to love this one. But it was one of Bong's weaker entries. It came down to a couple things: no character was interesting enough to keep me engaged nor was I to rooting for any of them. This made the film feel quite long. This movie is a brain game that takes the fun of murder mystery to the nth level. Clever concept that, at times, got in the way of the storytelling. And that's ok! The puzzle of it all makes it fun to to process how you feel about each character. Would recommend if you enjoyed Game Night or Bodies Bodies Bodies.

Felt like if Dreamworks did Dragonball.
Extremely scattered plot, animation style, and tone. A few heavy/adult moments mixed in with fart and poop jokes. Really neat action. Had some echoes of Elden Ring with bits of mythic, religious lore that didn’t make a lot of sense but felt cool in the moment. Surprisingly, it had some strong revolutionary, undogmatic themes.
Pretty crazy that it beat Indside Out 2's freshly minted world record of $1.6B and its still chugging.
