Mr. Jones 2019
I enjoyed it as a piece of fiction.
Jones' grand-nephew has an article that shows how blatantly disrespectful (and inaccurate) the director was to the family, Gareth's nephew (who's responsible for most of Gareth's memory revival) and to Mr. Gareth's memory in general.
History is not yours to play with. You either make it faithful to what we know about the person or event or you make it purely fictional.
Inglorius Basterds is a great example: historical setting, purely fictional, great movie.
Mr. Jones is just disrespectful to history, to Gareth, to Gareth's family and to the truth Jones so passionately pursued.
Good film, though.Translated from by
