smart review:
giger’s phallic imagery perfects the beautiful metaphor of sexual violence and control/dictation of people’s bodies (very reminiscent of current events…). the film translates that terrifying reality for women and queer people for a wider audience making the understanding more accessible especially for 1979.less smart review:
