“I Can’t Think Straight” is a film I wish I had watched a long time ago during my self-discovery phase with queer cinema. For once, it’s so refreshing to see soft love portrayed in a film from the 2000s. It was genuinely entertaining to watch a story that blends activism, tender romance, real family drama, and—most importantly—a happy ending for queer characters without anyone dying. Seeing love unfold so gently and joyfully on screen felt like a rare gift. I truly loved this movie, and I’m so happy to have stumbled upon it!
