  I was not expecting to like this movie as much as I did. I tend to find most psych ward stories somewhat pretentious. This movie felt refreshing. The depiction of mental illness was probably one of the most relatable ones I've seen thus far. The complete mental and physical shut down of severe depression, trauma-induced rage, the justification of violence, the overbearing hopelessness that seems senseless to others... I spent damn near the whole film sobbing.

  I had SO much fun watching this. Of course it’s going to age incredibly poorly, but the dialogue for chronically online teenage boys was ridiculously spot on. I loved how everyone was so UGLY. Amazing style. Also, the soundtrack??? Absolutely phenomenal. I cannot praise this movie enough. Admittedly, the turtles saying “rizz” threw me off, but the rest of the movie is so good it more than makes up for it.
