4:44 Last Day on Earth 2011
In 4:44, human connections are projections and reflections often obfuscated by the interplay of space and digitality. An extremely spiritual film for Ferrara, and as sickeningly gripping as most all of his works. Kinda like Siberia meets Dangerous Game in its introspective deliriousness.

Violence planted and germinated the seed of dehumanization in Rob Zombie's first Halloween, and its roots were subsisting off of the pain in Halloween II. Michael's eyes peer through the mask, the entire film he's grasping at the lost structure, the lost family by the only means he has.
