    So realistically heartwarming. You could feel the tension in every movement and every eye roll, and I love how that was built - there was not a second missed to show the dynamic between the father and son. The awkwardness between them remains throughout. The dialogues are, honestly, cleverly sparse - only that much was said that had to be said, but the message got across loud and clear. There was no big heart-to-heart at the end, but their relationship changes in so many little ways, which is exactly why the film feels so true.

    just loved the depiction such “small” stories in such a big big city. a sense of really calm fierceness throughout. every shot like a quiet rebellion in itself, and just the mere fact of who the characters were, how little their lives would seem and how large they were made by showing them through art like this. so beautifully written, literally made me gasp once. teeming with a tender sort of fierceness. what a way to unromanticise and strip down mumbai to its core and still create something so full of life.
