I discovered this movie while doing research for my thesis on standalone theaters in the philippines. Brilliante Mendoza's "Serbis" is a great exploration of decay -- both cultural and familial. The movie is set in a dilapidated standalone cinema ironically named "Family", serving as a metaphor for the dysfunctional family living in it.
