This does contain all the cliche, 'If you're not paying for the product, you are the product," messaging which is true, but (most) everyone knows this.
If you are able to look past some overly dramatic moments, the film provides unique perspectives on how machine learning algorithms can be used for behavioral manipulation. Tech companies want aggressive growth and it's interesting to hear from ex. high ranking Google, Facebook, etc. employees share some interesting strategies these companies use to predict the actions you will take and why such an ability is so profitable.
