this is definitely a show. i feel like im missing something as every review of this is glowing. it just lacked heart and inspiration and any grit that didn’t feel like very plastic set design. i like the new batman too so this was a surprise. the crime felt goofy, the gangsters lacked that olive garden gaudiness, and despite the lovely cast, the whole eight episodes rang hollow. it lacked the goonish charm of goodfellas, the hilarity and character work…
