  I watched again after reading the book and I think the movie really lacked a lot of the raw emotional feelings that Elio talked about in the book. I tried to like “watch between the lines” but I still feel like there could have been more emotion. And I also didn’t like that they changed some things or left things out.
  All that being said I still love the movie.

  I think it was a good depiction of insanity. I’m so afraid of the fact that guys in this generation aspire to be like him (they definitely haven’t seen the movie).
