  this is a really incredible film. in one part perhaps and incredible entry into a potential list on the canonical cinema of cuckholding. the incredible personal angle also absorbs and eclipses much space for historical context which brings miyuki's incredible boldness and rawness to the fore in a sort of unfiltered feminist statement. reading this film through the lens of the 'male gaze' seems really reductive. in fact i feel like it opens a window on to moments of queer…
