  Pleasantly surprised. This started out as a typical ‘look at this sexy freak murderess’ but then turned into a damning look at how men in power can manipulate vulnerable women, ahead of its time I think.

  I get that it’s hard to be compared to the original, but this sucked. It feels like the cast and crew were given two separate instructions: one group played it campy and melodramatic, the other as serious as a heart attack.
