Many familiar voices and beautiful depictions of familiar locations. I liked the background lore of Helms Deep but somehow found the film itself lacked depth. Overall it was still a fun watch and I enjoyed the animation aspect.

Misery 1990
A classic psychological thriller w a twist of horror that I’ll probably dive into in another five years. I really wanted to watch this in December because it screams winter mania. However, I couldn’t find it streaming anywhere and just recently found it on DVD. Misery is easily one of my top favorite King adaptations. I always enjoy coming back to this film. Kathy Bates’ portrayal of insane fanaticism and Caan playing a helpless writer who’s at the mercy of Annie’s madness is pure dramatics and I eat it up every time. <3

God, Mia Goth was outstanding in her performances. You’ve got Ti West rounding up a sick cast—each one of them understood the assignment and delivered. You’ve also got some nice cinematic shots of “rural Texas.” And to top it all off there’s a dope soundtrack. I don’t think I’ll be able to hear Don’t Fear the Reaper the same way ever again, if anything, it’s going to sound even more amazing the next time I hear it.
