I normally write these out in more depth than a bulleted list but I just can't today so here goes.

Pros:
-Solid musical score
-Well done cinematography
-Sam Elliot's acting
-Had something going for it for the first hour

Cons:
-Writing was erratic at best
-Flashback/Present cuts harder to follow than original Star Wars
-Storytelling has little cohesive plot to follow & loses steam badly

Not a bad movie. Definitely had a hard time deciding on an identity whether it be a low budget B-movie vs. smaller scale Blockbuster. Really, the writing cohesiveness killed the fun that could've been there.

My dude legit tried to fight three raptors with a chainlink handcuff, gets a few hits in, and the raptors look at him like, "seriously my guy?" and eat him. 3.5/5 for that moment alone. The other half star comes from the ending new "contestants" and the design of The Host's mask while CGI'd into the game.
