Spirited Away 2001
My favourite studio ghibli film. Every time I watch this I feel like I’m transported back to playing on the playground during the summer with my friends as we make up imaginary stories and worlds we escape into. Spirited Away holds the beauty of that, but also is crafted beautifully to hold grander themes that you can reflect on when you rewatch it as a grown up. It epitomizes the familiarity of wistful nostalgia when you recall back on fond memories.

The Monkey 2025
It’s a pretty fun film! Definitely not a masterpiece by all means, but if you go in just watching it for enjoyment it’s decently amusing. This is certainly not a film for everyone I will say, the mix of horror and humour may feel hulking for some, but for most parts I found myself entertained with it. I honestly think Oz Perkins suits horror comedy more than one like Longlegs. I enjoyed seeing his personality shine through the humour. The Monkey doesn’t take itself too seriously, and if you don’t either, this will be an entertaining watch to enjoy.

Mean Girls 2 2011
This feels like a hate crime to be sharing virtually the same name as the original Mean Girls. It’s like trying to say there are similarities between Gene Simmons and Jean Simmons besides how you say their names. Stop trying to make Mean Girls 2 happen, it’s not going to happen!

The Princess Diaries 2001
Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews foster such a loving and heartfelt relationship in this movie. I feel like even though the premise is unrealistic for normal viewers to relate to, the emotions it evokes and relationships between the characters make it feel relatable.
