Slashers 2001
The version I watched was the 2 hour director's cut which was definitely too long and burned out a bit down the stretch, but otherwise this is a fun B-movie. The constant POV of the cameraman, catchy music, and even the corny acting and dialogue to an extent all build the game show setting really well and it does a solid job of dropping exposition throughout (albeit very blatantly) and staying engaging. This was pretty sick. Can't imagine the kind of crack cocaine it is for theatre kids and Shakespeare marks. Certainly corny and would've been better off as a tight 90 but the plotting deserves its flowers, sprawling all over itself and always setting up and paying off as it goes, and the music and production values are very nice. The Amazing Spider-Man 2012
Does not have the Raimi sauce but it's perfectly solid. Garfield is good, behind the mask he doesn't really feel like Peter Parker whatsoever but that's not much on him, he's put in an unworkable grey area between sexy loner and dorky nerd. Emma Stone's Gwen is awesome and the two are really good together. Big lizard fella is a fine villain for a first outing, albeit one who's evilness escalates quite quickly.
