  as a black person watching this with another black person (my father) we were sort of unimpressed and i imagine this is the case for a lot of black people, we all already know. the only thing it does is preach to the choir, and yes we can laugh at the white tears meter or whatever but as a whole it doesn’t do anything to offer a fresh perspective, for a movie that drops the word “negro” in its title…

  oh my goodness i love it i love it. i’m in love with this movie. there isn’t enough movies that are just this. queer. where like seeing people visibly not queer is an absolute anomaly
