  Watched this with my friend for his birthday, then afterwards we watched dash cam footage for two hours. I had more profound realizations during the dash cam portion of the show.

  In some ways, this is a story about a man who finds a beautiful thing he can’t keep because of external factors - because of his looming military enlistment, because of his commitment to his group, because one day he will have to put back on the identity of a pop star in a boy band sensation and learn to live with the weight of it. But really, it’s a story about a man whose neuroses mean he can’t hold onto anything, that everything beautiful and true in his life must be fleeting and impermanent. A fascinating look at a troubled soul.

  how are you gonna write a movie about how traumatized you are from the abuse you suffered at the hands of your father and then go on to abuse a woman you met on set... how are you going to make a movie about abuse recovery and your own journey towards accountability and then ABUSE A WOMAN YOU MET ON SET... that's a new level of trash.
