  did brian griffin co-write this? was this a neil breen co-production?

  ffc is going balls to the wall with visual style and an epic scale parody of america, but it is filled with quotes with no grounding being repeated at you over and over again until the point of comedy, grand-ish visions on the human condition that amounts to nothing.

  it's a dumb guy's idea of a smart movie.

  This is more of a note to myself than anything else.

  The 135 minute (1976?) cut. I'm not sure if less time would have helped my impression. I wouldn't say it's bad, but it at some point while I am appreciating the acting and atmosphere, I'm wondering when the plot will.....well, start. It's got oodles of style, but not a style that really hit me.
