I've seen this several times and just realized I never reviewed it. I love how old stories with human stories stay true. It's a story about realizing too late that you've grown but you're still a boy... and being a man is really complicated! Really excellent but don't play on your phone for this one.

I wasn't blown away- it was better than that. The strength is in the subtlety of this production, even tho it's over the top; it's in details like the emotion in the faces, trading harmonies back and forth across layered themes, and history infused in everything that makes you feel like you failed an Intelligence check.
I'm not surprised I liked it, but I'm surprised to be excited for the sequel!
What if Kubrick reproduced asexually, produced a sexier Pop Kubrick, and then mashed up Barbie and The Fly? You'd get one hell of a movie!
