  more competently written than most people (including me) would like to admit. the arc for both mufasa and taka/scar is decently compelling, but sorta feels a bit shallow by the end .  

  the visuals are still an overly realistic mess with no distinction between lions. really makes a lot of scenes a migraine to follow.

  overall didnt hate it but if my mom didnt take me to watch it id have zero interest.

  On one hand: It's a perfect adaptation.
