Ted Raimi must have the strongest shoulders and back, because he carried this entire film. Granted, he isn't given much to work with, but the man gives it his all, and he definitely delivers. I did enjoy the ghostly apparition of his father (?) who talks to him both on and off-screen throughout the film. Giving Ted someone to play off of rather than having him monologue (?) his thoughts and ideas (and other such things) was a nice touch.…

This is one of those low-budget movies that's not "so bad it's good" but is neither bad nor good, if that makes sense. I found the special effects to be a bit silly at times, but the kills, and the blood and gore, were fun.

Fun tidbit: I printed a screenshot of this film after watching it and had both Ted and Judd sign it. Ted commented on it, saying I was probably the only person who had a signed…

Cobweb is one of the movies where you see the trailer and think you have some idea what might be going on, but you have no idea. And while it may not be the most unique premise, Cobweb makes it work. It was legitimately creepy and kind of crazy. The ominous, foreboding atmosphere and genuinely scary vibe Antony Starr gives off makes this unsettling. Lizzy Caplan is... well, I don't really know. She gives off PTSD vibes, but I don't think she's actually traumatized. I think she's just deranged. The ending falls a little flat, but overall, Cobweb is a really good horror movie.

I bought a brand-spanking-new (unopened) DVD copy of this on Ebay specifically for Ted Raimi. Unfortunately, Ted's character, Professor August Keene (who looks kinda like the Eleventh Doctor) doesn't show up until maybe the last 25-30 minutes of the film. Up until that point, this movie is...not good. It's a bit convoluted and weird, and even with the low budget, the lighting/editing/sound was pretty bad. Honestly, Ted is the best part of this movie. He makes the most of what…
