  if i had a nickel for every time i watched a masaaki yuasa animation with crazy (positive) art with crazy (negative) plot, i would have two nickels. which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice

  as often mentioned it is the colors and sceneries of this film is immaculate, they really captivate you, it did captivate me too. and on top of that i also found myself liking the flow of this film a lot, read many comments where people felt lost about the plot or were not satisfied about the acting but i personally felt like everything clicked in their right place. 

  maybe it comes from knowing the west asian & middle eastern culture and…
