I absolutely loved this movie. It’s almost like a “hazing” in my family to watch this movie. It’s one of my dad’s favorite movies and for a while I detested the idea of watching the movie. I always thought why would ANYONE want to watch a movie about a cannibal, but as I got older I finally caved. I went into the movie with no idea of what the movie would entail, and holy shit, did it captivate me.

This is a great story about transformation, forgiveness and empathy. The understanding of how other people’s stories matter. It’s about going on a journey to open your eyes to something different. To come to peace with pain. It’s a beautiful film and the metaphor of life.
