  i just finished reading the ring novel and although this adaptation is more faithful to the book than other adaptions, it is also a bit slower and the lower budget really doesnt help. overall i do think they did the best with what they had, a lot of scenes I did appreciate, especially seeing the almost one to one cursed tape described in the book on my tv. this movie is very okay. 2.5 rings out of 5

  rewatching this movie on a plane was quite a trip, my plane took off when the characters broke through the atmosphere which helped me get immersed in a way i didnt think i could for a scifi horror flick.

  we really didnt need another "get away from her, you bitch" especially delivered in a way that sucks so much compared to the original line in aliens.
  that is pretty much my only complaint for this movie.
