It's a comic book movie. Imagine it drawn on paper, then it's great fun. The villain is boring, Captain Marvel is lacking yet again, but: It was the best we've got from Carol Danvers until now, if you'd ask me. Ms. Marvel is a delight and I'm a fan of Monica Rambeau. The singing planet is fantastic.
Subjectively probably a 3/5. I give 4/5 for good measure.
This movie is pure fan-service and, of course, doesn't work as a stand-alone. But it's really well made.
I won't say this film was necessary at all. But it was heartwarming to see Breaking Bad / Jesse getting a new epilogue with an happy (or let's say, "not open") ending.
This is, nevertheless, no masterpiece. But you'll certainly enjoy it, if you enjoy Breaking Bad.
I'd give it a solid 3/5.
