Two hours too long and the two hour runtime feels like 4. Disney live action remakes are sincerely a stain on the medium. Maybe if I find a genie lamp I’ll wish Walt Disney had never been born to save us all from his capitalistic abomination of a corporation that plagues us long after his death

You can really tell this was John Hughes’ directorial debut because this is far cruder, far worse, and far more uncomfortable than the greatly superior Ferris Bueller and Breakfast Club which at least approach the coming of age topics with some form of empathy rather than glorifying date rape
