  Whit Stillman loves to have his characters say to each other “You’re the type of person who does blank” and then explain the entire character’s backstory. It’s a halfstep away from sounding like an episode of The OC at all times and instead it’s one of the greatest films ever.

  Could never realise my dreams, could never truly disappoint. A Gordian Knot of a world. I didn't realise how deeply emotionally invested in this I was until after spending 8 hours playing a Dune boardgame in character followed by a screening of Dune, before seeing Dune: Part Two.
  
  Maybe the true meaning of Dune is the friends you drank 12 beers with and incoherently explained every detail of the Bene Gesserit Kwizatch Haderach breeding program to along the way.

  Beside the point but Feyd-Rautha's cannibal harem were...quite hot? Will not be pursuing this further
