Tangerine 2015
This may drop down to a (HIGH) 8, but goddamn this is the best film I've seen in at least a couple years.
It's so well-written and so unbelievably well acted that it becomes easy to forget that these are fictional characters we're following - definitely the film's strongest point. Sean Baker and co. manage to make LA itself feel like its own equally real character, a sun-soaked hell of hedonism and indifference.
