Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 2004
A charmingly weird movie. It’s a great sci fi concept given an indie film treatment and feels half realistic and half cartoonish. Even with the wildly varying tone, nothing feels out of place, which is a credit to the dreamlike writing structure and both Carrey and blanchett’s acting range. I found the order in which the story is told to be a fascinating plot device and profound commentary on emotion and memory. Has to be one of the most unique movies I’ve ever seen.
